Author Interview: Julia Suzuki

Hi everyone!

I have a special treat for you guys today, and would like to welcome you all to this blog's first ever author interview!  I'd like to introduce you to Julia Suzuki, author of The Land of Dragor: The Gift of Charms- the first book in the children's The Land of Dragor series.

Tell the readers a little about yourself.

I was born in Tamworth in Staffforshire. My hobbies and interests have always been dance, fashion, movies and reading. I worked for a division of Disney licensing, and with a famous leisure entrepreneur before becoming an author. I learned a lot in those formative years which I feel has benefited my work and business vision. I have learned from both successes and mistakes and especially from relationships. Writing is my greatest passion - I lose all sense of time and have no cares when I am in 'Dragor.' I consider myself a 'story teller' more than a 'writer' - I feel as though my imagination knows no bounds and I enjoy sharing my adventures.

What or who inspired you to write, or did you want to become a writer since you were young?

I believe writing is therapeutic, a way to make sense of what is going on in the world. Many things inspired me, a complex web of experiences, fate, and my love of books. It may sound cliche but I really do love to help others, I have a great longing to help wherever I can and do as much good in the world.

Title: Daimon

Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout

A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had warned her she should never return-the Covenant. White Hot Kiss (Dark Elements #1) Review

Title: White Hot Kis

Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Genre: Paranormal Romance/ Paranormal Fiction

Age Group: Young Adult

My Rating: 4.5 / 5

Goodreads Summary:
One kiss could be the last.

Seventeen-year-old Layla just wants to be normal. But with a kiss that kills anything with a soul, she's anything but normal. Half demon, half gargoyle, Layla has abilities no one else possesses.
Raised among the Wardens—a race of gargoyles tasked with hunting demons and keeping humanity safe—Layla tries to fit in, but that means hiding her own dark side from those she loves the most. Especially Zayne, the swoon-worthy, incredibly gorgeous and completely off-limits Warden she's crushed on since forever.
Then she meets Roth—a tattooed, sinfully hot demon who claims to know all her secrets. Layla knows she should stay away, but she's not sure she wants to—especially when that whole no-kissing thing isn't an issue, considering Roth has no soul.

But when Layla discovers she's the reason for the violent demon uprising, trusting Roth could not only ruin her chances with Zayne…it could brand her a traitor to her family. Worse yet, it could become a one-way ticket to the end of the world

Hi Everyone!  I have exciting news to share with you all today.  What is it you might ask?

I was literally squealing and jumping around two hours ago when I got home from school and finally saw the cover!  I wanted to do this post right then, but as usual something came up and I was busy, so I couldn't do it.

But now without any further delay, I present to you all the cover of:

 Stone Cold Touch

(Book 2 In The Dark Elements Series)

Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout

To-Be-Published: October 28, 2014

Layla Shaw is trying to pick up the pieces of her shattered life—no easy task for a seventeen-year-old who’s pretty sure things can’t get worse. Her impossibly gorgeous best friend, Zayne, is forever off-limits thanks to the mysterious powers of her soul-stealing kiss. The Warden clan that has always protected her is suddenly keeping dangerous secrets. And she can barely think about Roth, the wickedly hot demon prince who understood her in ways no one else could.

But sometimes rock bottom is only the beginning. Because suddenly Layla’s powers begin to evolve, and she’s offered a tantalizing taste of what has always been forbidden. Then, when she least expects it, Roth returns, bringing news that could change her world forever. She’s finally getting what she always wanted, but with hell literally breaking loose and the body count adding up, the price may be higher than Layla is willing to pay…

OMG! You have no idea how much I want to read this book right now instead of in October!

By the way did I mention that I finished reading White Hot Kiss this past Sunday?  After begging my sister for three days to let me use her card, so that I can buy the eBook version (which is only $2.99 by the way- a pretty good deal), I finally was able to buy it on Friday and spent the entire weekend being addicted to the book! I am still suffering from withdrawals if you can't tell!

And that damn cliffhanger at the end- Jennifer definitely knows how to keep her readers hanging!  I can't wait for Stone Cold Touch to come out, and when it does the first thing I'll do is steal my sister's card and buy the book.  And then I'll probably be the good girl I am and give the card back to her ; )

And lastly, keep an eye out for my review of White Hot Kiss, which is coming soon- most likely this weekend, considering I don't have any more projects!  And before you ask, I know that I have reviews waiting since January, but because I have been really busy I haven't had time to do them. But I promise that I will get to them as soon as possible.  However, for the time being the book I am reviewing this weekend is most definitely going to be Whit Hot Kiss, and if you haven't read it yet, YOU NEED TO RUN TO YOUR LOCAL BOOKSTORE, GET IT, AND READ IT RIGHT NOW!
