Sons Of Old Trilogy By Annabell Cadiz Blog Tour & Giveaway

Hi fellow bookworms!  Welcome to my stop on the Sons of Old Trilogy Blog Tour.  Today I have Ms. Cadiz here with me to discuss why she loves to write! Plus, you can read my reviews of book one and two in the trilogy and there's also a super cool giveaway at the end for you all! :)

And now ladies and gentleman, please put your hands together for Ms. Cadiz!!

I Write Therefore I Am

Why do writers write? A question I have been asked many times.

Because of the fame . . . If you think like the two strangers living in Germany who REALLY liked your book count as fame then sure, there’s fame involved.

Because of the fortune . . . Do overdraft fees imply wealth to anyone??

Being a writer is an interesting choice.

And by interesting I mean downright insane.

Who the hell chooses to walk down a path where the chances of making it successful are like one to a bazillion?

You spend minutes, hours, months, YEARS pouring over a blank screen and blank pages of notebook paper, creating something the voices inside your head told you to do (Cough *therapist cough*), and the chances that anyone will ever actually read it (including your mother) should make you question the path you want to go down before you actually take that step.

Michael (Sons Of Old Trilogy #2) By Annabell Cadiz Review

Title: Michael

Author: Annabell Cadiz

Genre: Paranormal Fiction

Age Group: Young Adult

My Rating: 4 / 5

Goodreads Summary:

Zahara Faraday looks like a normal eighteen-year-old and lives in a quiet neighborhood with her overprotective parents. She works at a bookstore and hangs out with her best friend Becca King on a daily basis. But underneath the normal lies a secret life filled with dangerous supernaturals. Zahara belongs to a world made of Light Witches, rogue Imagoes (supernatural creatures with super strength, speed, and silver skin when the moon is out), fallen angels, and Nephilim (hybrid children born half-human, half-angel). Where her father Solomon Faraday is human, her mother Mia and her Aunt Catalina are Light Witches. They help protect the human world by hunting down rogue supernaturals who commit heinous acts against humans. What they never expected was the possibility of having to hunt down the one rogue coven they had befriended and come to trust in their battle against Lucifer. Rekesh Saint-Louis is the leader of the most powerful Imago coven in Florida and now he’s the most suspected. Supernatural bodies are starting to pile up with an ancient ritual long forbade being used to murder them and the symbol, one large cross with four smaller crosses around it—which represents Rekesh’s coven— being left behind. Rekesh and the Elders of his coven set out to find who is behind the murders and clearing his name before a war between the covens begins. To make matters more difficult, Rekesh also has to deal with the return of someone he has been keeping a secret.

Lucifer (Sons Of Old Trilogy #1) By Annabell Cadiz Review

Title: Lucifer

Author: Annabell Cadiz

Genre: Paranormal Fiction

Age Group: Young Adult

My Rating: 4 / 5

Goodreads Summary:

Have you ever wondered what could be hiding in the shadows?
Well, for eighteen-year-old Zahara Faraday, she doesn’t have to wonder. You see she comes from a lineage of Light Witches, those who have chosen to help protect and serve between the supernatural world and the human world. The only problem is Zahara, like her father Solomon, is as human as a human being can be whereas her mother, Mia, and her Aunt Catalina, were born as Light Witches. As a family they hunt down rogue supernaturals—creatures who harm humans or who have committed an act against their kingdom.
Zahara’s hunting skills are usually kept dormant since her parents would prefer she live life as a normal human girl without knowledge of the supernatural world. She plans on doing just that—except when she finds a couple being attacked by fairies, she has no choice but to step in. Before she can return to pretending to be blissfully ignorant, Zahara encounters a problem she isn’t the least equip to handle: Bryan Hamilton, the good looking new co-worker she has to help train. In a heartbeat, her best friend, Becca King, has set her up on a double date with herself and her new crush, Rekesh Saint-Louis, who happens to be the most powerful leader of the biggest Imago Coven in South Florida –supernatural creatures with the ability to control water . . . and suck out human souls.

Into The Fire (Wrecked #1) By Michele G. Miller Review

Title: Into The Fire
Author: Michele G. Miller

Genre: Contemporary

Age Group: Mature YA/NA

My Rating: 4.5 / 5

Goodreads Summary:

At fifteen, an accident turned my world upside down. Scarred in every way possible, I shut down, finding comfort by self-inflicting pain.

I’ve grown accustomed to the truths of my life, but I’m tired.
Tired of this reality...
Tired of the need...
Of the pain...
I’m weary of being this person...
Of being alone...
Though, I’m more afraid of letting someone in.

It’s been five years.
Can I return home and face my fears? Overcome the pain?
It’s time to find out.

For too long, the story of my life has been one of horror.
I want my fairy tale.
I want my prince, my happily ever after.

The question is, does it want me?

My Thoughts:
*** A huge THANK YOU to Ms. Miller for giving me a copy of this book!!!! :) ***

I honestly don't know how Ms. Miller does it, but once again she has managed to make me smile, cry, and laugh all within just a few chapters into the story.  Dani's story immediately captured me from the moment I started reading, and the moments that I had to part with the story was pure torture.

Book Spotlight: Lali Of The Lill By Adi Mandal

Title: Lali Of The Lill

Author: Adi Mandal

Genre: Fantasy

Age Group: Young Adult

Publication Date: February 15, 2015

Lali must face her fears and begin the journey to The Lill, a treacherous journey built around lies. In seeking for the truth about her past and future, she must leave Krei, the young man who loves her more than his life, and learn to trust Theon, a stranger who claims he is the only one who can help her.

At home and miles away from busy Moorgate, Lali still thought about him. How could she not when she had prayed every night to see him again? She recalled the earlier scene at the Pizza Galleria when he didn’t even notice her existence before she found hope once more.

“Could it be that he was just pretending? This could just be a tactical move to keep me safe from the enemies.”

But she couldn’t confirm. Several crazy ideas on how she could get Theon to admit he was the young man she thought he was crossed her mind before she finally left it all in the hands of fate.

Her thoughts of him completely vanished when she saw the cute surprise hanging on their porch’s clothesline. Then, she heard a lovely voice.

The sound of metal clashing against the floor made Eris frown – she was taking longer than she meant to – and she had to escape, with Set or not. She tapped one of her feet impatiently on the floor.

     New guards were coming.

It was time to get out or risk being caught.

She swiftly decided to take a new approach – a desperate one, yes, but she was on the edge. “Set. Don’t you miss the adventure? The feeling of being the best of them? I can give you that pleasure. Just come with me.”

Getting up, Set sighed. “It had better be worth it.”
